How One Regular Introvert Runs an International Publishing Company From His Pocket
Maybe you can do the same…
Hey, I’m August. I run an international publishing business with customers in more than 110 different countries and I do most of the work from my pocket.
I don’t have to use my phone if I don’t want to, of course, but by building a business with the end in mind, I save. myself time, eliminate the need for employees, and I can scale this thing as big as I want, because all my projects are sold one-to-many.
I’m an introvert — big time.
But being an introvert is not the handicap many people assume. It’s a superpower. But there are also boundaries to the way I like to work.
For example, I don’t like speaking to people ‘live,’ not because I hate people. I need time to process my answer and give a thoughtful response (which is why I’m also terrible at arguing, but I can shred you on paper)
Knowing my boundaries, I built the business around the way I like to interact with the world (so every day will feel more like play than work).
I started with the design of my business — what I wanted it to look like, what a typical day would look like, and how I’d interact with my customers.
