Success leaves clues… even our mistakes. If you want to grow your creative practice, there are many cheat codes hidden inside your ‘game footage’ and the footage of those who came before you.

First, let the others make the mistakes before you.

If there’s a product you want to create, or a new venture you want to pursue, it’s likely someone has done it before you… or attempted so.

You don’t have to start from zero each time you develop something new. You already made it this far. You’ve left footage in your wake.

Re-examine your successes and failures.

Patterns will emerge.

Maybe you notice when you write a certain number of articles per day you get a certain number of subscribers. This means, it might be a good idea to do that again tomorrow.

Play the game footage.

Don’t ignore all the trouble you went through to get here. Maybe you don’t want to relive the pain, but there are messages hidden in every mistake, not just the wins.

Take time in your week to reflect the week before.
