Why Your Book is the Literary Equivalent of Crocs

I bash Crocs a lot, but I own a bunch of pairs. I look silly in all of them (although I rarely leave the confines of my yard wearing them). Maybe you do too. Crocs are these foam, Mickey-Mouse-foot looking shoes that are comfortable and utilitarian, but stop there.
