What happens After We Die?
Have you been troubled by the questions of Life and Death? These questions look something like this.
What happens after death?
What’s the purpose of life?
Why should we do good deeds if we only live once?
Where were we before we took birth?
Where will we be after we die?
These questions often seem confusing and in reality no one knows the answer. Then what could we possibly do to calm our thoughts? How can we ever know the secret of Life? I’ve thought about these questions a lot myself and asked a few hundred people in turn. I’ll try to answer these questions, with the theories that fight the illusions of religion and reveal the true purpose of Humans on Earth.
“I’ll never die for my beliefs, for I might be wrong.” ~ Bertrand Russell
1. The Karma Theory
Believe me, this world works on the concept of Karma. It works like this: If you do good deeds or do things with a good intent, you gain some points called Karma Points. And if you’ve ever wondered how you scored good on that math test you didn’t study for, or that job you scored even though you knew you weren’t good enough. Whenever you’ve succeeded without even trying or you’ve found yourself lucky, you’ve actually used up a few of your karma points. Now you have less of those and you need to go into the nice guy mode, help others and do charity to gain what you’ve lost.
Have you ever wondered why you were born rich or poor while the others were not. Why human beings are not born with the same privilege as one another. That again proves, some had more points at the time of birth and other did not.
WAAIIITTTT!!!! WHAT THE HELL?? How can one be born with more or less karma points than others. Who decides how much points should one be given. This brings us to the next big question;
2. Is There life after death?
If you’ve ever thought, “F*ck it, this is my life. I’ll only live it once. I’ll do whatever I want to do.” If you think, this is the way of life, you may be right, because who knows, there might only be one life.
But let’s come back to the same question that who decides whether we’ll be born prosperous or not.
The studies show that people who are born prosperous will have a higher chance of living a prosperous life. And people who were not born prosperous will have a relatively lesser chances of tasting prosperity in their entire lives.
This can be explained with the Modern Theory of Afterlife.
“It says, there’s no heaven or hell. There’s only this universe that exists. We are not the Body, we are the Soul, the Energy that drives the body. We never leave this world. Our soul changes the body when it gets old and starts to decay. It then enters another body and keeps on living till eternity.”
The Karma points that we collect in this life, get used to give us luck. But let’s be honest, some people are way too good that they collect karma points all their life and never do bad deeds, so their Karma Bank Balance gets pretty sick. Their stash gets so big they can’t spend it in their entire lifetime. In this case, the person, in his next life will have a pretty awesome future. If a person does bad deeds and gains negative karma points, she’ll suffer in this life and the following lives to come. This brings us to our last and our Biggest Question.
3. What’s the purpose of ones life?
“Only a life lived for others, is worth living.”- Albert Einstein
After numerous deep conversations with friends, families and strangers; and reading a great amount of knowledge of philosophers. I came to a conclusion that a selfless life is a life full of meaning. We as humans are most content when we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. It is embedded in our deepest cells; The very nature of our DNA to cling to one another and work towards becoming something way better than as an individual, we could have ever hoped to achieve.
Finally referring to the Simulation Theory ( shown in the movie, The Matrix): “This life is just a simulation run by more intelligent civilizations and we are just players.” If this is false, then living a meaningful and selfless life will make this world a better place to live; But if we truly are a simulation, this makes it all the more necessary to lead a meaningful life, So that our programmers can never terminate our simulation.”
