Feb 2018 Update — The Booking Factory
The wheel of time continues to turn and updates continue to be pumped from the booking factory!
It’s been a while and I should have done a January update so now this post is going to be slightly full… but better late then never to update you on some new features.
I will try categorise them to make it easier to read
Rates & Inventory
Lots of cool inventory upgrades lately, probably the best rate management tools on the planet now!
Rounding Logic — You can now round your derived rates to make them slightly less ugly with the cents/pennies at the end.
Derive Room Types — Now you can derive room types from each other so essentially you can manage all your pricing from one room type.
Derive Restrictions — We can now also derive restrictions for a rate plan from another. This is useful if you create rate plans for certain channels and don’t want to manage the restrictions on them.
Bulk Updater — We tried to force you to use our season management tool but we had to cave in the end and provide a simple tool to quickly update your inventory. Now you can use either or both!
Remember: Please ask if you wish to setup some non standard setups. It’s best we have some complexity at the start and then simple day to day than to get a simple setup that makes complexity for you forever. We provide full support in this area.
Localisation is Finished
Now you can use the PMS in nearly every language. We have currently: German, English, Greek, Italian, Romanian
Booking engine can be fully localised and also the emails and invoices.
Any missing languages can be easily translated if your up for it!
Calendar Style Settings
Another thing we didn’t want to do but we did do becausewe are focused on flexibility, you can now customise the calendar colours and booking positions to extend into the checkout date or keep like we usually have as an excel type look. We have have a setting to make rounded corners!
Now if you feel the green is not green enough for you then go ahead and change it :)
Other Things
Save outgoing emails — We now save and let you view all sent emails for the system. This is nice to know what was sent and when!
Special Offer Widget — A nice widget is now available to show all your special offers on your website
Booking Engine Profile — We added to our booking engine profiles with some auto generated ones, one for each room type. This is handy if you want to link a room to a booking engine just for that room!
Whitelabel Booking URL — We can now easily whitelabel your booking engine into your website subdomain. Example: secure.yourdomain.com
What are we working on now?
Currently we are upgrading our invoice system to be able to manage multiple invoices, groups/companies and POS routing of extras to the correct invoice. Keep an eye out for the next update of that is included in this update!
