Thinking of using Booking Suite or looking for change? Read this!

Hi, I’m Evan Davies, Founder of The Booking Factory. I’ll try not to be biased in favour of my own company, so I’ll stick to the facts as much as possible.

What are differences between the Booking Factory and Booking Suite?

History

Booking Suite (originally buuteeq.com) was founded to help hotels with their digital marketing by providing a website and booking engine that was available on a monthly basis, instead paying thousands for a web development company.

The Booking Factory was founded by a hotelier (me!) over 2 years ago, thanks to my frustrations with using tools to try to increase my direct bookings. The goal was to solve the problem of not having one easy to use tool to run a small hotel or B&B business.

Product

Booking Suite has two pricing models. The first is their “free” option which charges 10% commission on direct bookings and takes availability information from Booking.com.

They provide you with a website and booking engine. To get their other option, you’ll need to get a quote and speak to a sales advisor.

I’m not yet sure if they provide a channel manager to their competitors or not. (If a Booking Suite customer paying a monthly fee could update this for me that would be great!)

At The Booking Factory we give you everything you need to run your business — hotel website, booking engine, booking management system, payment gateway, channel manager and more.

Our pricing is very different as we just charge just 1% of all online bookings.

Mission

The Booking Factory’s number one mission is to increase direct bookings for hotels.

It was hard to find Booking Suite’s mission statement, but the parent company Booking.com’s mission is to get more bookings through Booking.com, so I will leave you decide on that point.

Trials and Contracts

I believe that Booking Suite requires you to sign a contract. That’s pretty standard in the hospitality industry today.

At The booking Factory we have a different ethos. We believe in our product being great, so we don’t tie anyone into a contrac — we don’t even have set up fees!
