Lost in a sea not so tranquil

I am forever surrounded

Faces of the dammed floating in hell

And, I’m just one of them, eternally confounded

***

Searching for something to kill a forever pain

I struggle not to suffer and not to wallow

Yet the truth of it all drives me insane

choking me up until I can’t swallow

***

I try to push through and live out my days

Hoping to find meaning in it all

In a world so wonderous nobody ever stays

Just standing around until it’s my turn to fall

***

Welcome it, I would

The sweet and unjudged release

There are other ways, if only I could

I would welcome the escape and the peace

***

It’s not my destiny, it’s not my way

I wait patiently for your face

It’ll come in due time because I have no say

You’ll grant the release at your own pace

***

More will rise and more will fall

While you dillydally around

Perhaps one day I’ll get the call

That it’s I that you have finally found

***

Until then I wonder if you’re just not ready for me

And I hope that soon you’ll come thru

This world is becoming less pleasant to see

And for many of us, we are looking forward to meeting you.

***

I don’t know where you get your inspiration from but in this particular piece, I was inspired by the character of death from Supernatural. That relationship between him and Dean Winchester was always fun.

My stories cover things of interest such as NASAs explorations, climate issues, environmental issues, and the world around us. I also write some for fun.
