Can We Stay Here Forever in This Storm?
A Poem — A Sultry Night of Rain
O girl! I hear the distant thunder’s roar
As it rolls in closer evermore
The sky is deep blue, the clouds quite light
The rain so thick, a sparkling sight
We have the night all to ourselves
It’s the time for the secrets we tell
We’ll find solace in the pouring rain
We’ll get drenched in its sultry refrain
Let us forget all worries and strife
And revel in this lovelorn life
The sweet smell of rain on skin so warm
Can we stay here forever in its storm?
We’ll reach for the stars above in glee
As the rainbow guides us to their glee
I swear on this night so full of rain
I’ll forever cherish the memories it’s made
