Forgiveness

Finding peace

I can
taste it
with my eyes

the certainty
of your hatred

I can
feel it
in my blood

your soul;
vexatious

But
there is
no respite
in revenge

I can
only beg you

to find peace
in forgiveness.

There is too much pain on this earth. It is as if we have forgotten what it means to be human. Maybe, just maybe, we can all find some comfort or peace in forgiveness, because revenge only leads to more retribution.
