Sands of Time
This thoughtful poem reflects on the transient nature of life and our journey through different stages as the sands of time shift beneath our feet.
We all gotta stand on life’s beach someday, The sand shifts underneath and shows us the way, Each moment passes quickly like individual grains,
As time rolls on we give our all without complaints, The sun is our guide marking each new day, Shadows dance and then fade away, With every step, we leave our trace, Journeying through light and dark spaces,
When we’re young we run wild and free, In our prime, we find what makes us glee, But as the years go by, the sand gets sparse, The end draws near, and our time spins out, But no need to stress, life’s a song for sure, Ups and downs are just part of the tour, That hourglass keeps pouring out the sand,
Our love stays deep within us, it’s grand, So let’s embrace the gift that’s ours to hold, Living each day as the sand unfolds, As moments pass us by without delay, We’ll make the most of each and every day.
