Maybe you and I were not really for each other,
things we used to dream were not visions of forever.
For all one knows, we’ll have someone to find,
that one who we could hold on to and be with for a lifetime.

The story of us perhaps is ending,
and our hearts both were crying.
But one day we will get it over,
let’s cross paths someday when we are older.

Parting time is the hardest when we cry,
so, when you leave, I beg you to smile.
I want to see that same bright beam,
that warm face that made my heartbeat.

I wanted to say I love you so,
my biggest reason for letting you go.
I pray that you’ll find that piece,
that part of you that’s never ‘me

History

I wrote this as a letter to my first love three years ago. Maybe one day when time allows, we’ll meet again where we are both healed.

I realized in life there are people who are not meant to stay in our lives. For them, we are their first and for us, they are our lesson.
