The Embrace of the Chase

Journey of chasing dreams

For the greatest victory lies not in the finish but the fight.

A whisper in the wind, barely a thought,
a flicker of possibility, a seed unsought.
Then a yearning, a pull, an unyielding force,
a burning ember within, a relentless course.

Leaping from the shore, into the vast unknown,
eyes fixed on a horizon, a path yet to be shown.
Obstacles like mountains, doubts like a raging sea,
yet the dream, a beacon, guides me relentlessly.

Scraped knees and bruised heart, a trail of tears untold,
but each stumble, a lesson, each fall, a story bold.
For in the pursuit, a transformation takes hold,
a spirit tempered by fire, a strength yet to unfold.

Chasing, not with frantic haste, but a steady stride,
the road ahead, twisting, turning, with no place to hide.
But with each step, a closer embrace, a whispered delight,
the satisfaction of striving, a triumph in the fight.

For dreams, like stars in the night, ignite a spark within,
a compass, a guide, a constant, a journey to begin.
So I chase them, with passion, with purpose, with grace,
knowing that the chase itself, is a beautiful embrace.

Some journeys have no destination, only the chase.

Afterthought

I wrote this poem because I wanted it to feel like a warm fireside chat about dreams.

You know, that feeling of talking to a friend about chasing those things that set your soul on fire?
