A woman sits calmly with her hands in a prayer position at her heart center. She seems to be saying, “Namaste”, quiety to herself. Or perhaps, she is saying nothing at all and really engaging in mindfulness.

Context on the poem: As a neurodivergent person who is actively doing the work to recover from the ingredients in my cuckoo cocktail, I know firsthand that this whole, rewiring neurological pathways stuff is no joke.

I want to applaud you for valuing mental health. Mental health impacts us all in some way. I believe this because I feel that we are all connected to and through the source of all life.

If you’re out there doing the work to change your mind and rewire your neurological pathways, I want to say thank you. I hope you show yourself compassion, love, and appreciation. Today and every day.

I’m sending you all love and healing energy. ❤

We are enough
we are okay
feelings can be tough
can’t wish them away
no matter what our minds may say
our spirits have the final say

we are enough
we’ll be okay
this life’s a game
we all must play
although at times it’s difficult
no need to fear
for this, we’re built

so, breathe in deep
and feel your light
and know that we
gone be alright

Note: World Mental Health Day was October 10th, 2023. I celebrated by reading articles on mental health, reaching out to friends, doing yoga, and writing. I would love to hear how you celebrated in the comments. Thanks for reading!
