A Cloud Floats By

A poem

Photo by engin akyurt on Unsplash

A cloud floats by in the cerulean sky
Taking shapes contrived in my mind’s eye

At first it is a bright white cotton ball
Engorged with rain that does not fall

Before morphing into an apple tree
Bearing fruit as tasty as can be
