A Hearty Red
Milk ain’t my jam or my jelly,
only belongs in a baby calf’s belly -
instead, wine is my dietary crush,
love that warm rosy blush.
If a friend you are of mine,
I’ll label you a favorite wine —
could be a malbec or maybe merlot
’cause our friendship leaves me aglow.
Or perhaps a Muscato Italiano,
as sweet as any friend I know,
but if you are my bestie, number one —
the King of Reds, cab sauvignon.
Nope, not that baby shit for us,
dairy drinks are a bust —
give this woman a hearty red friend
the kind that stays until the end.
