baboon
climbed up this tree,
donning
each leaf as a lil hat,
finding joy in
getting
higher and higher until the
island below was
just shy of the horizon,
keeping sights high,
lowering inhibition,
mourning
nothing, but lost
opportunities.
perhaps, my
question for you, dear
reader,
surrounds
that of
understanding the
very essence of
what this poem says,
x-rays to illuminate
your takeaway from some piece that makes
zero sense.
