An Interview with “The Brain is a Noodle”
Some fun questions & answers
Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she//她) invited writers from her publication “The Brain is a Noodle” to answer these questions. Looked like fun to me!!
Here we go…
[1] What did you like to do most when you were 10? They say that this hobby is likely what brings you the most joy in life — is this something you still do?
I loved to read. At that age, it was mostly Judy Blume, Flowers in the Attic, and all the other classic young adult series from the 70s/80s. But I was always interested in alternative health and other ways of looking at the world. My parents got the magazine “Prevention” where I learned how to do acupressure to relieve headaches, all about how herbs can heal, and the connection of the mind, body, and spirit.
I don’t read as much as I would like to now. I find it hard to give myself permission. My mind is always turning on work, writing, etc… To give myself time to read with a cup of tea is truly pure heaven for me.
