#WritingPrompt: A fork in the road. Left, I think
Crafted Choices
Embracing the Mindful Path
A fork in the road
a pivotal choice
Left, I think — with a gentle voice.
Pause then breathe
and the path unfolds
stories like petals softly told
Leftward, I gently guide — my wandering mind
Moving on
worries and regrets left behind
a lighter heart and a free-spirited mind
Left, I wholeheartedly embrace — this brand-new day
Crafting a journey
brushstrokes of choice
banishing strife on the canvas of life
Left, with each small step — a new path emerges.
An unwritten future
a mindful choice.
Thank you to Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) for the prompt: A fork in the road. Left, I think, and for considering this response for her publication.
As always, I am unsure if this aligns with what she had in mind, but today, what emerges is a poem using the fork metaphor to underscore mindful choices and a wish that we might uncover inner wisdom in facing crossroads and embarking on new beginnings — one small step at a time!
Thank you for reading!
