Diplomats

A poem about the people who try to fix everyone

To fix a person/You must bow down to their needs/Acknowledge their pain/Take it all in/Ingest it like summer rain/A cup of tea solves everything/A peacekeeper sent to Earth/A diplomat/Shroud them in the warmth of your embrace/Perfume surrounding them like a halo/For you are an angel/Taking on the devil/I feel nauseous/I feel anxious/We are stepping on too many toes/How have I taken on your woes?/My eyes are dry currants/Deprived of all moisture/We are descendants of the sky/Only to find a safe place to cry
