Embracing Cycles In My Life

a poem and a realization

One of the most powerful changes into my life
is not to yearn for linear or exponential growth
for the sake of
Big Numbers Giving Meaningless Dopamine To My Brain.

I’ve embraced the natural cycles of nature,
reconnecting after being disconnected for so long,
making space for the good alongside
the less pleasant natural reactions
I have to natural space.

In this fashion,
I have used cycles to mean
habits and routines
that keep a harmony
between generating mess
to enforcing structure
back into my life
to get things done.

But my biggest dream
is to be able to open an online shop
where I may sell the things
I have fixed and upcycled
into pieces of art or functional tools,
diverting them from landfills
into the lives of people
who wish to continue this cycle on
for things that
may not truly decompose and disappear.
