First Kiss: A Laundry Experience

poetry prompt: first kiss

first kisses in romance novels
are explosive,
electric experiences,

but everyone

had first kisses
that felt more like
tumbling wet
in a laundry machine —
silly and funny and a little bit cringe
at best.
