drummers sound like they are tapping through my inner ear and yelling out of the bottom of my feet

such goes the sound of

my head

shattering the vertebrae knotting muscle and joint

ships from the night travel lightly but I don’t travel at all

have you ever looked at the shells and stars shining red light on the sun?

it’s fascinating

spirals and temples of imaginary kings open the book and into vision they see few efforts made by anyone to alter the world

few have trodden here and

lived to tell the tale

but one says

‘there’s no coming back’

he took me to his physics and astronomy club

dumped me on

top of the micro dotted

eye hole to see the universe

through the

eyes of a pro

this is how it goes —

green tufts fly the air

red Mars screams in foul mercy

Saturn spins and stabs the night air with cold wind
