the smoky angle, and an illusional shade in front of my face,
nicotine fogs, and poison kisses on the lips,
a smooth habitual dependence,
day by day, built up ignorance and negligence,
summed up, clogged the inner pipes,
tar-covered tunnels to the heart,
dark toxic spots on teeth reminded me of its continuous presence
