My Goodness My Guinness’s
Response to superfood challenge
Ruby black with a rich, creamy head, ahh the wonder of Guinness.
Packed full of iron, with flavonoids, calcium and vitamin Bs;
roasted barley gives Guinness its intense colour
while the flavour dances upon the palate, an excellent healthy delight.
Water from the mountains of Wicklow in Ireland adds to this super drink, Wicklow is where me Mam was born, may I add.
Every pint is a tribute to her memory; ah yes, Sláinte Mam!
Back in the day, while in hospital, me Mams Mam was prescribed
a glass of stout a day for its beneficial properties.
A super drink not to everyone’s taste
popular throughout the world
for hundreds of years, this stout is no fad!
Many say a meal in a glass they are unable to finish.
Well why take it from the barrel and waste this pint of wonder
Yea ejit, children are starvin’ around the world!
Aye, that does get a strange look; however, they get the drift.
Sláinte folks!
