The ink I love

I have always loved tattoos and the stories behind them.

I have 10 tattoos, the majority done while in college. My artist didn’t try to gouge the way some people do for artwork.

My first one was a wolf with a scar over her eye. It originated from the women’s psychology book Women Who Run with the Wolves.

My most meaningful one is a toss-up: my bleeding heart tattoo over my right shoulder for my grandparents or my left inner forearm sun and moon for my mom.

I’ve been tattooed during charity runs- for the Humane Society and Make a Wish. Those experiences were my favorites- knowing the shop donated 100% proceeds.

I haven’t been inked since 2018. A mixture of low funds plus not having absolute clarity prevent me currently.

Thank you for reading my work today. I would like to thank Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) at the Brain is a Noodle for this prompt contained in the weekly newsletter.
