OOTD
(outfit of the day):
taking the trash out.

gray
tshirt,
package of four
from Costco,
cotton, which I believe
can be eventually
composted by worms
entirely.

pink skirt
bought impulsively,
fast fashion,
and yet I will wear it until
it’s in threads.
skirts are more comfortable
to wear at home for me.
it’s being clothed
without needing to feel clothed.

blue slides.
boyfriend’s.

trash bag,
tied loosely,
reused bags
from the mountain of
plastic bags we’ve amassed,
easily fitting
down our apartment
garbage chute.

click*
as if phones
and their cameras
still make a click sound,

that’s the photo
that’s the image
as I shuffle down the hallway
to my garbage chute.
