I put my heart on a pixel post-it,
sent it off surfing the web,
and, though you wanted to watch me crash-and-burn,
I’m gonna stand tall instead.
Because I know you’re cheering my downfall,
I know you want me to cry
but the smallest of choices can unleash those voices
that bigots would rather make quiet.
