Sometimes it feels like you are talking to yourself,
As the views do not seem to match your expectations,
You keep telling yourself that your writing is good,
But the public attention does not seem buy it,
You panic and cry,

You bang your head against the table and wall,
You seethe with rage and anger,
You get angered by others who go viral with their works,
Wondering when your turn would come,
You begin to question whether writing was ever for you,
At that moment, you quit and just shut down your laptop,
You spend the following days in isolation,

Crawled up on your bed,
Scrolling through social media and emails,
Waiting for big numbers,
Instead you only get a handful of followers,
You just fling the phone away and cry again,

After a couple months,
You decide to give writing a go again,
You sit on your desk and then begin to write,
Then you just freeze.
Turns out you have no creative juice anymore,
You begin to tear your hair out and cry,

You decide to try other things,
All in the name of making desperate cash,
You try making journals,
You try to learn new skills,
Yet no results are forthcoming,

Life works at a slow pace,
Not all of us are destined to work the same race,
Likewise not all of us are destined to achieve success quickly,
Chin up soldier,
Have faith and be positive.
