Is it a threat, quirky nature?
Why do those who lack this gift
Mock as if quirkiness is a state, less desirable?
Is not creativity found at the heart of the quirk?
Maybe, if there was more quirkiness
It would be a better world, certainly
Less shite around as quirky people clean it up
Amidst the mockery of those without such quirks
Who just went ahead and fecked it.
Quirky people would not have invented plastic,
They would have gone for hemp.
Quirky people don’t care too much for money,
Therefore better politicians they would make.
Or just make politicians out of clay and glitter.
So while quirkiness is seen as daft or cute
Not to be taken seriously, while having that little
Smug snigger, think about the mess we are in
And how a bit more quirkiness may just have
Got us out of it.
There’s still time to be quirky.
