Sadness Pennies
A Poem About life and happiness…
“If I had a penny,
For each time I was sad,
I Would have become a millionaire,
Or even more than that.”
“That’s the life path,
I get it, though.
But is it even worth,
Looking for?”
“Is there any happiness?
Or is it just an illusion?
My time is ticking,
What is my conclusion?”
“I’ve been looking for it,
Since I was a child.
Haven’t found an answer,
Or even a sign!”
“Is it a myth,
Or is it a fact?
Maybe a fairy tale,
Who should we ask?”
“Is the happiness,
Even a thing?
Or just a moment,
When the sadness is thin?”
“I’ve been looking,
For all of these answers.
I haven’t found any,
All there is sadness.”
“Maybe I should leave,
All of my thoughts.
There is no answer,
Like it or not.”
“Happily ever,
Or left in the dark,
I guess it’s my choice,
How I enjoy my life.”
