Screaming Chaos

A free verse poetic response to “chaos”

Photo by Daniele Levis Pelusi on Unsplash

A seething boil at the arse end of your own universe
Un-heeding your own fathers advise
Bringing way too much noise to highlight his chaos.
Incapable of subtlety carrying out his will
As he had been doing for aeons and aeons.
Trying to outshine him would always lead to your demise.

Try as you might with just one lifetime of petty-full experience
Finding you out on your arse, hell ain’t never goin’ to freeze over
As your petulant screams die out with your ill-gotten power
Through media manipulation of profiled followers your father
Had so carefully chosen for you. I’m glad you did not listen
You belligerent windbag of bullshit.

Thank you Lucy The Eggcademic (she/her) for including me in your prompt “Chaos”

As requested kindly by Lucy, I am highlighting Jeff Langley’s excellent humorous piece here.

Thank you, Lucy, for giving my words a platform as always. Thank you all for reading and your precious time as always. J. 🙏
