Slaughter of a Soul

Agony of Soul is Not Visible

--

Physical murder does not kill a soul.
A Soul dies in shreds, scraped each time.
It dies each time -

— with slices of marauded dignity
— with conceited entitlement of intimacy.
— with encroached consent of privacy.
— with silenced screams of bad touch.
— with heart that pounds of fear.
— with darkness of prowling paedophiles.
— with gendered intimidation of norms.
— with exploitation of dependence.
— with tongued blades of narcissism
— with legalised stalkers of marriage
— with betrayed trust of innocence
— with scalding leers of gropers
— with abductors of flesh market.

With -
Every encroached space
Every gendered abuse
Every disguised malevolent word
The soul is grated to bits of agony,
Each bit dying every time.
And yet the soul marauders are
Not even physically indicted.

While the world debates the capital punishment a rapist deserves, millions of humans grapple with shattered souls and are not even allowed to seethe in self-defence, let alone fight back.

Ironically, people quote — ' a six-inch tongue can kill a six-foot human’, but when a human seeks help from the so-called law and order establishments, they need proof of only physical scars.

Hi, poets and readers, I would love to have your shared views and reviews on the above words, which I was compelled to scribble the other day.
