Day of arrival
Homecoming preparations
anticipation

Together at home
days filled with laughter and joy,
love, conversations

Day of departure
Unshed tears, reluctant heart
Must we say goodbye?

Partings bring heartache
Yet, glad for this interlude
cherished memories

Filled with gratitude
holding you close in our thoughts
we bid you farewell
