(untitled? maybe) I feel lonely for you

but maybe you don’t feel lonely at all

At some point in adulthood
I stopped feeling
targeted and sad
about harsh words

and started feeling bad
for the people who do it online.

Like I check their profile
to see and contextualize,
sometimes harsh words
deliver a truthful lesson
and I need to learn.

Sometimes that’s how they engage at all,
with everyone and anyone.
Are there people in your life?
I feel lonely for you.

But maybe you don’t feel lonely at all.

#WritingPrompt: I feel lonely for you, but maybe you don’t feel lonely at all
