There are rules
ㅤin every language
for the sake
ㅤof “clear” and “standardized”
communication

Yet sometimes
ㅤit constricts us from
ㅤㅤexpressing
ㅤwhat truly needs to be
ㅤㅤexpressed
ㅤfrom the heart.

This language
ㅤin its roots
ㅤwill not be able to
ㅤillustrate
ㅤㅤthe images
ㅤㅤI experience
ㅤㅤin my head.

I bid you,
ㅤthen,
ㅤㅤto write the poetry
ㅤㅤthat’s in your heart
ㅤeven if the letters
ㅤㅤand the sounds
ㅤㅤㅤcannot truly approximate
ㅤㅤㅤthose feelings and experiences;
ㅤtry
ㅤㅤanyways;
ㅤbecause
ㅤㅤthose elements
ㅤㅤdeserve
ㅤㅤㅤto be heard,
ㅤㅤㅤㅤto be experienced.
