You’re welcome

1A. Enes Kanter — PF/C, Oklahoma City Thunder (@Enes_Kanter)

While the rest of the league was preparing to play another NBA season this summer, Enes Kanter spent his time destroying the Twitter game and making himself the best follow in the entire league.

There was Kanter’s handling of the Kevin Durant news.

Kanter also went at recently retired Kevin Garnett.

Kanter had a field day with the news that Russell Westbrook was renegotiating and extending his contract with the Thunder, by photoshopping Durant’s announcement in the Players’ Tribune and then setting fire to Laker fans dreaming of Westbrook returning to his home state of California.

Kanter even showed the ability to roast people outside the NBA.

Kanter’s twitter antics figure to continue and his unfiltered ways make him number one on the list.

1B. Joel Embiid — C, Philadelphia 76ers (@JoelEmbiid)

The seven-footer hasn’t even played in a regular season game for the Sixers yet and he is already one of the most beloved players in the NBA. With all his extra time, Embiid has enjoyed himself on Twitter.

He began with a courtship of Rihana

There was that workout video that exploded the internet.

There was the time he lit Tim Duncan on fire.

And that hilarious exchange with newest Sixer Ben Simmons while watching republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Here’s hoping the former №3 overall pick’s game is as good on the court as it is on the Twittersphere.

3. LeBron James — SF, Cleveland Cavaliers (@KingJames)

Are you doing basketball right if you’re not following the King?

4. JaVale McGee — C, Golden State Warriors (@JaValeMcGee34)

Can we first just give a hand to the Warriors for bring JaVale McGee back into our lives? McGee has been one of the NBA’s most lovable characters since his days with the Washington Wizards; he frequents on Shaqtin A Fool and makes fans’ social media dreams come true daily.

5. Chris Bosh — PF/C, Miami Heat (@chrisbosh)

Whether you want inspirational videos, insight into Bosh’s recovery from his bout with blood clots or adorable stories of his life as a father, the Heat’s forward (for now…) is definitely worth the follow on Twitter.

6. Nick Young — SF, Los Angeles Lakers (@NickSwaggyPYoung)

Young’s popularity has seen a dip in the last season, partially thanks to D’Angelo Russell’s blatant disregard for cell phone etiquette and his fiancee, Iggy Azalea, ending their engagement, but Young is still one of the more colorful personalities in the NBA. His Twitter is mostly filled with Instagram videos where he makes all of us feel bad about our lives.

7. Damian Lillard — PG, Portland Trail Blazers (@Dame_Lillard)

Lillard can rap. Lillard can ball. Lillard interacts with just about anyone. Lillard retweets the good stuff. Lillard viciously shuts down the haters. That’s more than enough to warrant a spot on this list.

8. JR Smith — SG, Cleveland Cavaliers (@The RealJRSmith)

Let me show you something.

Does that look like a man you would want to follow? That’s what I thought.

9. Kobe Bryant — former SG, Los Angeles Lakers (@kobebryant)

The recently retired Bryant isn’t on this list because he’s one of the greatest to ever lace ’em up. He isn’t even on this list because his Twitter account is routinely hilarious. He’s on this list for one reason: lighting Mark Cuban on fire.

10. Atlanta Hawks (@ATLHawks)

If there was an award for the most creative social media team in the country, in any field, the team over in the Atlanta Hawks’ headquarters would take the cake. The Hawks might not be the best on the hardwood but they’re the best on the keyboard. Remember when their team was in the midst of a 19-game winning streak and they added extra W’s to their name after each win?

Or when they tweeted their 2016–17 schedule out in nothing but emojis?

Got any suggestions? Don’t like the list? Hate the Hawks? Let me know about it, tweet me at @DrPetey15 and let me know what you think.
