Bangalore Hobby Week — Round 2
The first weekend for Bengaluru’s first-ever Hobby Week just got done and man are you guys crazy! From board games to Ultimate Frisbee, cocktail workshops to JAM sessions, tech blogging to group drumming — Bangaloreans have celebrated the weekend with much fervour and panache! (Take a look at all the fun that was had here)And the best — there’s more to come.
Hobby Week is on till the fourth of September, that means there’s another whole weekend (not to mention weekdays too) of super fun activities! Here’s a quick low down of what Bangaloreans are in for -
There’s a cocktail workshop by brew master Balakrishnan Subramanyan being held TOMORROW (30th August) from 8:00–10:00 PM at the Cafe g77 in Indiranagar. Be there for some pro tips on how to completely own the bar at your next house party.

Then, take things to a newer high (ahem) with John Eapen and his Beer Workshop on Thursday, 31st Aug — again at Cafe g77 from 7:30–10:30 PM. He’s gonna be spilling the beans on how to brew beer, with lots of interesting info about the history and process. You can join in here.
The Bangalore Rooftop Film Festival invites all movie buffs in the city to meet for an evening of indie film screenings and discussions with film-makers on Saturday, Sep 3. For timings, venue and more details, check out their activity on Brigge.
Tippler On The Roof at Indiranagar is playing host to some amazing evenings as part of the Hobby Week. They’re turning one and we are so glad they’re partying with us! Laught it up with stand-up artists Sundeep Rao, Vamsidhar Bhogaraju and Suhas Navarathan at the lounge TOMORROW (30th August) from 8:30–11:30. On the 31st of August is the karaoke night hosted by KJ Val Moraes — so all you bathroom singers — here’s the opportunity you’ve been waiting for! Then there’s the pop-up quiz happening on Thursday, Sep 1 at 9:00 PM. Open for all — teams and singles. Finally there’s EDM night on Sep 4th for all you Electronica lovers — so if you wanna party, you know where to be this weekend! Join their group on Brigge to find out more about what they are up to!
Rangoli MAC (yes the same place where the drum circle happens) is playing host to the Bengaluru Laughter Carnival. In a unique twist to the conventional comedy scene, their event features a miming crew! Check it out here.
Workout junkies can get their fix of adrenaline with fitness guru Jenifir K Sharma’s Aqua Zumba — a high-energy and high-intensity mix of weights, aerobics, dance and fitness — in a pool! Happening on Saturday, 3 Sep at the Play Arena, 7:00 AM onwards.
