The pictures below show a pair of otters right on Briggs Boardwalk on April 18, 2016. The pictures were taken by Cecelia Henderson, a boardwalk volunteer. Cecelia took the pictures at the place we usually see them.

Click below to check out “River Otters Cavort at Briggs Boardwalk” — another “story” on the Briggs Blog. The pictures show the otters in several situations — from looking at Cecelia taking the pictures to sleeping side by side.

Usually, animals are found directly on the walk by the first person to show up in the morning. But, that usually scares them away — at least for awhile. However, I have seen a bobcat walking right on the walk at 3pm in bright sunlight, so getting to the walk first may or may not be the ticket that lets you find any animals actually on the walk. You never know.

Hey whose that taking our picture?
Whatever she’s doing she doesn’t seem to be dangerous!
Let’s take a snooze in the sun. It’s too warm to play!

Of course, birds, mammals, reptiles, and other animals may be seen in the fields from the walk at any time during the day. Come visit the boardwalk and be surprised!
