Abortion: A Delicate Topic that We Always Get Wrong

Abortion has been a continuous debate for centuries.

Abortion is not something you can make a simple decision about; it is something you have to look at every aspect of. A big problem with these new abortion laws is men are making all the big decisions about how women choose to handle their bodies.

Abortions can take place for many reasons. Abortions aren’t always because somebody doesn’t want to have a child but can be because having a child can put their life at risk and they don’t want that to happen. Having a child can be very risky on a normal healthy person but have a child on a person with severe health problems can be very devastating. It seems as though many people have forgotten about Roe v. Wade and maybe need a refresher on a woman’s “right to privacy”.

Recently very strict abortion laws were passed in the state of Alabama which caused an uproar on social media. One thing most people pointed out was that all the people that passed the bill were older Caucasian men. When asked how she felt about this she stated,” Now they would hate these laws they just helped passed if their white daughter was to get pregnant by a black man.” Alabama is known to be one of the most racist and sexist states and many think these laws were created towards a certain crowd.

Many celebrities have spoken out on this decision over social media. Rihanna recently posted a picture on Instagram of all the men that signed the law and captioned it with,” Take a look. These are the idiots making decisions for WOMEN in America. Governor Kay Ivey … SHAME ON YOU!!!!” Although bills have been passed in some states it’s not too late to make a change.
