Merry Christmas and a Dry January

Spending makes the Christmas festivities merrier. Without proper planning however, this makes for a ‘well’ planned Dry January. This article on the Christmas and New Year festivities, was a call for more level-headed spending, the kind that leads to a less stressful start to a new year.

The art of responsible spending during the festivities

Former Maragua MP Elias Mbau, a minimalist in his own right, offers some advice.

He says, ‘live within your means’. This is one of those things, that are easier said than done. It might require staying in when other stay out. It might require saying no when you want to say yes. No one said being disciplined was easy, but when you think of your own well-being and the need for less stress in your life, also consider your present spending.

Minimalism touts more freedom to enjoy more intentional spending
