Fallin’ off the Wagon

I had intended to publish here on Friday, as part of my goal to pick up a new writing habit, but had an unusual morning schedule. Hardly a worthy excuse, however. It’s my intention to write here every weekday morning, even when my mornings aren’t ideal.

To tell the truth, it had completely slipped my mind. And again, on Monday, I wasn’t feeling well, so slept away most of the day, but hopefully nipped this cold in the bud.

Not a great start to a new habit, but this early on, it’s not a surprise either.

It’s almost inevitable that we’ll slip up, especially early on, so best to just brush it off, and move on.

Back on the horse, and all that.

Before I leave you, I wanted to fill you in on what else you can expect here.

In the short term, as 2017 inches near, I’m going to put a heavy focus on productivity and goal setting. I will be deeply entrenched in getting my own goals and productivity systems revamped, and simplified. Therefore, it should be fairly easy for me to write about every day. There will no doubt be many others covering these topics over the next 6 weeks or so, but hopefully I can contribute some unique insights.

Which brings me to my long term intentions for The Caffeinating. In the long term, while I do intend to publish stellar content, I don’t plan to spend a ton of time doing it. The time it’s taken to write these first 3 posts is well over 3 hours in total, and I’d like to cut that time in half (and hopefully more as the habit grows easier). So you can expect future posts to get much shorter, and more packed with value.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
