The second GameWeek of Africa Fantasy is about to start and our Tipsters Team signed a new expert: we’re now 10 Tipsters, which means 20 great player recommendations for your fantasy squad. As expected, there were some great tips for GW1, but of course not everyone got it right. Here’s how many points each of our tipsters gathered from their picks:

Karam Abu Shammala: 10
Pedro Maia: 3
Gonçalo Mira: 5
Luís Cristóvão: 6
Ahmed Hesham: 9
José Miranda: 12
André Baptista: 9
Dean Ammi: 2
Marwan Ahmed: 2

Karam Abu Shammala

Mateus | ANGOLA | ATT | 5.5M | Owned by 1%

He made one assist vs Tunisia and will now face Mauritania, who are struggling defensively. They conceded 3 goals from Benin in a friendly match and 4 goals vs Mali in GameWeek 1.

Bevis Mugabi | UGANDA | DEF | 4.5M | Owned by 1%

He has six clean sheets in the last seven games for Uganda in all competitions. Zimbabwe registered only two shots on target vs Egypt in the first game of AFCON2019.

Pedro Maia aka O Fantasista

Patrick Kaddu | UGANDA | ATT | 5.0M | Owned by 1%

He scored against Congo DR and now has the opportunity to help Uganda secure a spot on the last 16. Great cheap option.

Gaël Bigirimana | BURUNDI | MID | 5.5M | Owned by 0%

He’s on set piece duty and has the potential to rack a ton of balls recovered and shots blocked.

Gonçalo Mira

Abdoul Fiston | BURUNDI | ATT | 5.5M | Owned by 1%

He was one of the top scorers in the qualification rounds. After losing their first game, Burundi have a match to show their quality and Fiston will try to score.

Khama Billiat | ZIMBABWE | MID | 6.0M | Owned by 1%

Despite losing against Egypt, Zimbabwe fought without fear, and Billiat is the team’s attacking engine. Against Uganda, he can cause some problems and make an impact.

Luís Cristóvão

Gelson Dala | ANGOLA | ATT | 5.5M | Owned by 1%

It’s a game made for scorers and Dala will show.

Anicet Andrianantenaina | MADAGASCAR | MID | 5.0 | Owned by 0%

Madagascar could get some help from his most experienced player to get near the next phase.

José Miranda

S’fiso Hlanti | SOUTH AFRICA | DEF | 5.0M | Owned by 0%

The left-back was one of the few to generate some offensive moves in the Bafana Bafana debut defeat. Namibia and their style of play will provide plenty of chances for Hlanti to get balls into the area, on top of the expected clean sheet.

Frédéric Mendy | GUINEA BISSAU | ATT | 6.0M | Owned by 0%

The Djurtus are yet to play a single minute in AFCON, but this is a great matchup for them, if they expect to get into the mix to go through to the knockout stages. Mendy had a solid season with Vit. Setúbal and should be a great punt for your team.

André Baptista

Follow André on Twitter.

Ayub Timbe Masika | KENYA | MID | 5.5M | Owned by 0%

His debut wasn’t brilliant, but Kenya’s offensive play will rely on Masika’s technique. Also, he will play against a team that looks like 1970s AFCON: Tanzania.

Percy Tau | SOUTH AFRICA | ATT | 6.0M | Owned by 2%

Another player with a discreet first round. South Africa must win against Namibia and Tau is a key player, both creating chances and concluding them.

Dean Ammi from DZ Football

Bruno Gaspar | ANGOLA | DEF | 4.5M | Owned by 1%

Such little ownership and a brilliant player. Gets forward from defense a lot. Likely to keep a clean sheet against Mauritania.

Andrea | MADAGASCAR | MID | 5.5M | Owned by 0%

Goal and assist in the first game and is up against minnows Burundi. Also, has very low ownership.

Marwan Ahmed from KingFut

Follow KingFut on Twitter and check their website.

Djalma | ANGOLA | MID | 6.0M | Owned by 0%

One of the most dangerous players for Angola against Tunisia, capping his display with a goal and 8 points for his owners. He will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing Mauritania.

Lebo Mothiba | SOUTH AFRICA | ATT | 6.5M | Owned by 0%

Nailed starter for South Africa and they play an inexperienced Namibia next round.

Alaa Swidan

Follow Alaa on Twitter and YouTube

Faruku Miya | UGANDA | MID | 7.0M | Owned by 3%

He had 3 goals out of 7 matches in the qualifications, and that was not just luck. He proved his quality in the opening game at AFCON and showed that he is an essential player for his country: set piece taker, made 2 assists, created 2 big chances, 25 passes with 100% accuracy, 6 ball recoveries. He plays freely in the final third and gets into attacking positions. A must have for the second round.

Thamsanqa Mkhize | SOUTH AFRICA | DEF | 4.5M | Owned by 0%

The right back has a promising potential of a clean sheet in addition to attacking contribution. As they lost their first game, South Africa have to win their game against Namibia. Mkhize has made the most tackles against Ivory Coast, and retrieved 6 balls.
