Well, it is that time of the year. Even with a fabulous score in GW1, this will be my fourth consecutive season activating our precious wildcard in Gameweek 2.

As you know, the plan is targeting teams facing opponents that are easier on paper. And I am only taking into account the block between GW2 and GW5. Because GW6 is always a lottery, impossible to predict at this stage, so we will be dealing with “it” later.

So, here are four differential picks for each kick-off time.

Denzel Dumfries | IM | D | 5.5M | In 1% of teams

If you played #FantasyEuro2020, you should be aware of what it means in choosing Denzel: explosive attacking returns, besides the odd cleanie here and there. Since joining Inter, in 39 Serie A games, he has scored 6 goals and registered 5 assists. One offensive contribution every 3.5 games. A full-back always gunning forward in the first kick-off? What’s not to like?

David Carmo | FCP | D | 4.5M | In 5% of teams

Conceição and Porto trusted 20M euros to snap this young and talented centre-back from Braga this offseason. Since his debut last week, versus Gil Vicente, he started in all 3 games, registering 2 clean sheets in both league games, and 1 assist in Madrid. Porto has two home matches in a row, facing Brugge and Bayer 04, with both games looking good for a couple of “cleanies”.

Marian Shved | SHA | M | 5.0M | In 0% of teams

After two goals in GW1, he scored yet another this weekend in the Ukrainian League. He’s the classic “enabler” if you want to fit more than 3 “big hitters” in your squad. Add the fact that he plays in the early kick-off on Wednesday, makes him an option for a perfect Captain differential.

Piotr Zieliński | NAP | M | 6.5M | In 2% of teams

He stole the show last week, being an absolute menace against Liverpool, scoring 2 and assisting 1 in the process. Now a trip to Glasgow and then to Amsterdam, to compete against two teams that like to play high-tempo football. The Polish can certainly tear them apart, away and back at home, looking like a fantastic pick up to GW6.
