In the UCL he is yet to register a goal or an assist, but has 5.75 duels won and 4.2 CBIs per game, a nice safety insurance for weaker performances.

This weekend marked the return of the German international, playing his first minutes of 2022. He went on to score the first Bayern goal, deserving his shower brake in the 61st minute. He is match fit and well rested to the trip to Villarreal, and looking to impose his commanding game at the heart of Bayern’s middle of the park. Early in the season, in four European starts, he was averaging 0.5 SoT/game, 1.5 KP/game and 4.75 DW/game, hefty numbers for a low-mid priced starter.
