The 4 tipsters of Fantasy Football Fevr bring you 3 players each, from all areas of the pitch, so you can climb on the ranks and get on top of your private league.

Alexandre Oliveira

Jules Koundé | France | D | 5.6M | 7% ownership

At the present, France is the clear favorite to win the World Cup. They are starting with the odds in their favour in the match against Morocco because they are not only the reigning world champions but also the best footballing squad. Koundé is an excellent option, as is any French defender. He becomes a differential against other players and can also provide offensive returns when he moves up the hallway, therefore it is also advantageous that he has been undetected.

Ousmane Dembélé | France | M | 7.9M | 19% ownership

Mbappé is without a doubt the star of the French team, while Giroud is also having a terrific time. But Dembélé, who is also a key contributor to the team’s offensive efforts, must not be overlooked. To have his title assured and the ability to unbalance the other team at any time, which can result in rewards like goals and assists.

Julián Álvarez | Argentina | F | 7.4M | 14% ownership

Although he didn’t begin the World Cup as a starter, he already secured his place. Alvarez benefits from the attacking football played by the Argentinian national team. His statistics don’t lie and he poses a threat on the offensive front, whether playing more structured football or even on counterattacks, due to his exceptional speed and finishing ability.

João Simões

Theo Hernández | France | D | 6.1M | 32% ownership

Playing against Morocco and considering their approach to the tournament, I predict France to have approximately 70% ball possession, but what they do with it will be vital. Morocco only conceded one goal throughout the competition, eliminating Spain and Portugal after the group stage, so Les Bleus are aware of the difficulty they will encounter. Hernández needs to exhibit his attacking and, most importantly, crossing ability to breach the African defense.

Ivan Perišić | Croatia | M | 7.3M | 16% ownership

Croatia will do everything to reach their second World Cup final in a row. After eliminating Brazil, they will face Argentina. Perišić is the one who shoots the most (2.6 shots per game) and thanks to the quality and work rate of the midfielders trio he can be free on the pitch, usually appearing inside the box. As I consider this a 50/50 game, he will be my first pick to cover the Croatian side.

Antoine Griezmann | France | F | 7.8M | 13% ownserhip

Griezmann has been one of the tournament’s best players so far. The Frenchman has been an important player for Les Bleus, constantly being part of the team’s attacking maneuvers. As said before, considering the way Morocco plays, Griezmann’s influence and creativity (already 17 key passes) to find spaces will be vital to guide France to the next phase.

Luís Costa

Dayot Upamecano | France | D | 5.0M | 4% ownership

4.3 duels won and ~5 CBIs per game. Upamecano’s off-stats are looking decent at this stage of the tournament and the chance of getting a clean sheet in the match against Morocco is not that small. Also, he averages 0.25 shots per game — maybe it’s time for us to trust that a divine header will happen and we will rejoice thinking “I knew it!”.

Sofiane Boufal | Morocco | M | 6.1M | 3% ownership

If you think that Morocco is up for another surprise in this tournament or you are willing to take all risks to get past that fierce opponent in your private league, Boufal could be a good option. With ~8 duels won p90, 0.16 xG, and 0.2 shots on target per game, he is one of the main attack threats from The Atlas Lions. Also, having at least 1/2 players from Morocco or Croatia could be a good idea if you want to avoid having more than 8 players out for the third place + final matches.

Andrej Kramarić | Croatia | F | 6.6M | 4% ownership

1.56 xG, 1.8 shots per game (0.6 on target). We reached the decisive part of the tournament and you probably need some differential player to earn some points to get past that annoying friend in your private league. If so, Kramarić can be the man you’re looking for! He is one of the main references from the Croatia attack, he is cheap (6.6M) and with everyone stacked with Argentinian defenders, this is an excellent opportunity for you to giggle at everyone that doubted your decisions.

Tozé Arantes

Hugo Lloris | France | GK | 5.7M | 16% ownership

France has not had a clean sheet in the tournament yet but from the pool of 4 goalkeepers in play, Lloris seems the best option to get the points for the CS. They are the favourites and Morocco is not a particularly offensive team. If you can only go with one goalkeeper, go with Lloris.

Alexis Mac Allister | Argentina | M | 5.5M | 4% ownership

Last week Enzo, this week Mac Allister. Argentina is full of low-price midfielders that can be the perfect budget option for the 5th position in midfield. The Brighton player already contributed to one goal and seems nailed on the team. He had 5 key passes in the last 3 games, so an assist could be on the verge.

Olivier Giroud | France | F | 7.1M | 21% ownership

Mbappé is 100% certain in our teams. Now the question is if you go for Giroud, Griezmann, or even both. Olivier so far has 4 goals in 4 games, he is the striker of the team (contrary to Griezmann who plays almost as a central midfielder) and he is cheaper than the Atlético de Madrid player. If you don’t have him, this might be time to put him on your team.
