The crypto and blockchain space is booming; there is nearly no day without a major announcement about a corporate starting to leverage blockchain technology, a national bank thinking about creating their own cryptocurrency (CBDC) or the launch of a new protocol that could disrupt an entire industry.

Because of that, it is very hard to always stay up-to-date with so much going on around the world. But missing important news can be painful as it could prevent you to make an early investment into a promising new project or anticipate new industry trends ahead of the mainstream.

To prevent this I started to check all major crypto & blockchain news sites daily, but I concluded that searching for and selecting relevant news was too time-consuming. Luckily, I realized that most major news sites offered a free newsletter subscription to receive a preselected number of interesting articles at regular intervals.

In the beginning, I subscribed to as many crypto and blockchain newsletters I could. Some were particularly good and others more a list of paid advertisement posts. Over time I reduced the number of newsletters I subscribed to five, which I am going to share with you in this post. If you subscribe to all of these newsletters chances are equal to zero that you will miss any major news in the blockchain space.

1. Forbes Crypto Confidential Newsletter

Published by Forbes magazine every Saturday, Forbes Crypto Confidential is probably my favorite crypto newsletter of all in this list. It is structured in three sections. The first section gives a short overview of the crypto market in the previous week with a price chart showing changes in the top five cryptocurrencies by market cap. The second section summarizes 4–6 interesting crypto news of the week in short paragraphs with links to in-depth Forbes articles about each news. The third section contains further crypto news by external providers such as Bloomberg, CoinDesk, or Cointelegraph that have been selected by the Forbes crypto team. Besides the good quality of the content, I like the three-part structure and the length of the newsletter which is not too long. Its especially recommended for people who are interested in the business side and enterprise adoption of crypto and blockchain technology.

2. The Block Newsletter

The Block is one of my favorite news sites for crypto and blockchain topics. Besides the news section, their research and analysis publications are also one of the best you can find. Contrary to all other newsletters and sites in this post, most articles are only accessible by having a fee-based subscription, which is worth every penny if you ask me. The Block newsletter is a daily newsletter from Monday to Saturday with a weekend wrap edition on Sundays. It starts with a list of top stories of the day respectively of the week on the Sunday edition. Followed by an upcoming event section that lists various events hosted by The Block such as webinars or analyst calls. The third section contains a list of the latest research by The Block research team. I like the content quality of The Block and its research section. This newsletter is recommended for people who are not only interested in the news but an in-depth look at crypto and blockchain topics and are willing to pay for high-quality content.

3. ConsenSys Newsletter

Founded by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, ConsenSys is the company when it comes to the Ethereum blockchain. As Ethereum is my favorite blockchain protocol and has the biggest developer community, I recommend everybody to subscribe to ConsenSys newsletters to stay updated about the latest developments and announcements in the Ethereum ecosystem. There are currently 3 different newsletters offered by ConsenSys: SIGNAL, STATE CHANGE, and ENTERPRISE. SIGNAL is the one I recommend to everybody. It is structured in four sections. The first section named “What’s New?” contains a list of new announcements & news followed by section two which contains a list of the top four most-read articles of the week. Section three contains registration for ConsenSys webinars and the last section covers the Ethereum market. Generally, I am a big fan of any material created by ConsenSys which is the same for its newsletters. If Ethereum is on your radar I highly recommend subscribing to this newsletter.

4. CoinMarketCap Newsletter

CoinMarketCap is the website to go if you want to check cryptocurrency prices but what most people are not aware of is that they also have one of the best blogs and crypto newsletters especially for beginners. The newsletter is published daily and is structured in five parts. The first section covers the total crypto market activity and provides general information such as the total crypto market cap and 24h trading volume. This is followed by the news section that covers articles from external providers such as CoinDesk and Cointelegraph. Section three is my favorite as it is unique to this newsletter witch is a daily poll on a crypto-related question. The result of yesterday’s poll is published under the latest poll which gives you an insight into how the community thinks about certain topics. The fourth section covers a list of articles from CoinMarketCap’s blog and the last section explains a blockchain term of the day. It is recommended for people who look for a less formal newsletter, are new to crypto or like interactive elements such as the daily poll.

5. CoinDesk Newsletter

CoinDesk is one of the most prominent crypto and blockchain news sites in the world. I really like their website and content quality which is not sensational such as others. Like ConsenSys they offer several different newsletters depending on your interests. My favorite is “Blockchain Bites” by Daniel Kuhn which is published on weekdays. It is structured in five parts. Part one covers a list of news articles by CoinDesk and external news sites followed by the opposite editorial section, market intel, and podcast listings. My favorite part is the last section which is called “WHO WON #CRYPTOTWITTER” which covers the best crypto-related tweet of the day. If you like reading quality articles but do not have the time to search I recommend subscribing to one of Coindesk’s newsletters.

I hope with providing this list of great crypto & blockchain newsletters, I can support you stay updated. Besides the newsletters, I can also recommend each of these sites in general as they create great content.
