Mastercard’s Employees Staying at Home

One of the largest credit card service companies in the world, the American Mastercard, will allow its employees to work from home until a vaccine for coronavirus appears, the company’s chief specialist Michael Fraccaro told Reuters.

“We expect in the coming weeks and months that more employees will continue to work from home than come into office … and we are OK with that. We support that choice,” said Fraccaro.

According to him, about 90% of Mastercard employees are currently working remotely.

“Once there is adequate testing and there is a vaccine and people feel comfortable to return, then we may see more,” he said. “But in the early phases it will be vastly less than what we had,” Fraccaro emphasized.

According to the latest data from WHO, more than 4.7 million coronavirus cases were recorded worldwide, more than 318 thousand people already died.
