Nowadays, many people have realized that just one job isn’t going to keep them financially stable. That’s why having more than one way to make money is important when building wealth and insuring security. They’re called side gigs, moonlighting, part-time jobs and, my personal favorite, side hustles. There are multiple methods for increasing your income and most people just need to be pointed in the right direction. Let’s agree to make 2020 the year of multiple streams of income and here are 10 ideas to get started.

1. Ridesharing

Driving for rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft are what a lot of people turn to when they want to find a way to earn extra cash outside of their job. Lyft drivers average about $35 per ride while Uber averages $25. By 2019, Lyft had over 23 million users and Uber had 95 million (with about 40 million rides in the U.S.). This is a job where you can choose your own hours, so if you do work, you could drive on off days and after work. Whichever service you choose to work for, there will always be someone who needs a ride and you’ll be paid be for your work.
