The total fortune of the 25 richest people in the world over the past two months, despite the coronavirus pandemic, has increased by about $255 billion. Such estimates were published by Forbes.

The most successful period, according to the publication, was for Mark Zuckerberg. He climbed from seventh to fourth in the Forbes list of the world’s richest people with a fortune of $86.5 billion. In just a couple of months, it increased by $31 billion — mainly due to an increase in the share price of his Facebook company.

The richest man in the world is still the head of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, with a fortune estimated at $146.9 billion. He earned $29.9 billion during the pandemic, also due to an increase in the value of shares.

Experts estimate the fortune of one of the founders of Microsoft, Bill Gates, at $106.5 billion; in two “coronavirus” months, it gained $11.9 billion.

The third place in the list is occupied by the general director of the group of companies LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) Bernard Arnault, whose assets increased by $12.8 billion — up to $94.1 billion.

According to the publication, all 25 billionaires who are on the list recorded a profit. The total value of their assets reached almost $1.5 trillion.
