Not surprisingly, Buffett isn’t a fan of the new asset class, as it doesn’t follow a traditional pattern. Buffett is 89 years old and has certainly invested his name and fortune in the most traditional way.

The financial tycoon has been vehemently against Bitcoin for a long time after once calling BTC “rat poison”.

The well-known investor said in an interview for CNBC yesterday that he did not have and never will have cryptocurrencies.

However, this claim was challenged today by Tron founder Justin Sun, who had previously stated that he gave Buffett a Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone with BTC and TRX during a long-awaited dinner for $4.57 million.

He also expressed that Bitcoin is now worth 20 percent more than when he gave it to Buffett.

To clarify this, CNBC reporter Becky Quick re-addressed Buffett.

The 89-year-old billionaire confirmed that he received cryptocurrency on the Samsung Galaxy phone from Justin Sun. However, he immediately gave the smartphone with BTC and TRX to the GLIDE charity fund, which also got the money Sun paid for lunch.
